«Damascene House»

Objective: To create a distinctive brand image that showcases the authentic food and rich culture of Syria through locally produced products, to serve as the brand identity for a supermarket chain located in Dubai.

CLIENT: FRAGMENTS DESIGN

The goal was to draw inspiration from these mundane objects as a means of exemplifying the multifaceted nature of Syrian culture through the medium of locally sourced products.

We started our design by drawing inspiration from the elegant symmetrical lines of the Kufi script, ingraining them with a contemporary aesthetic while still preserving its traditional roots.

This process was further enriched by incorporating design elements that are evocative of the rich cultural heritage of Damascus, such as intricate patterns and motifs.

Consistently, we adhered to the principles of Arabic calligraphy throughout the entire design process to ensure a cohesive visual language that effectively portrays the essence of Damascene culture.

The brand leverages a unique color palette to communicate its brand values and message to its customers.

Zinnwaldite Brown, a warm and earthy shade, conveys a sense of stability, comfort, and tradition. Aztec Gold, a rich and elegant color, symbolizes wealth, prosperity, and luxury. Red Brown, a bold and energetic hue, represents strength and passion. Medium Carmine, a vibrant and energetic color, conveys a sense of creativity. Cal Poly Pomona Green, a fresh and soothing shade, represents a connection to nature.
